Meet Mrs. Wilda
Hello Holy Apostles School! I am thrilled to be a part of the H.A. school family as your general music teacher after over 30 years of discipleship at Holy Apostles Parish. This is my 10th year of teaching music! You might recognize me as one of Holy Apostles' Children's Choir directors, a guest conductor for the adult choir, the vocal music director and an actress in Holy Apostles' production of The Song of Mark, or as a cantor for weekend masses with my husband, Ben. I have also cantored for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee's Chrism Mass and internationally televised masses for Heart of the Nation.
I grew up in New Berlin. I received the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Communion, and Marriage at Holy Apostles and was blessed to have my daughter Baptized in Christ here as well. I earned my Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Wisconsin- Madison with certifications in both choral and general music. Music teaches us about history, culture, relationships, science, language, expression, and faith at home and all over the world. Watching the adult music ministry growing up at Holy Apostles, I always felt more connected at mass when music was involved and found myself thinking about the text long after the singing and instruments had stopped. I am thrilled to be sharing similar experiences of music, faith, inspiration, and exploration with students, staff, and families at Holy Apostles. |
I love music history! Here is a photo of me in Notre- Dame de Paris next to a Medieval music stand built to hold a small conductor's book and a large choir book meant for the ENTIRE choir to see.
Please feel free to contact me at [email protected] or set up an appointment to speak with me in person!
